Beat – The UK’s Eating Disorder Charity
Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Beat are a champion, guide and friend to anyone affected by eating disorders, giving individuals experiencing an eating disorder and their loved ones a place where they feel listened to, supported and empowered. Services offered include; helplines, chat rooms and message boards.

 

SupportLine – Confidential Emotional Support for Children, Young Adults and Adults 
Supportline offer confidential emotional support to children, young adults and adults by telephone, email and post. Supportline work with callers to develop healthy, positive coping strategies, an inner feeling of strength and increased self esteem to encourage healing, recovery and moving forward with life.
This service also keeps details of counsellors, agencies and support groups throughout the UK.

Men Get Eating Disorders Too (MGEDT)
Men Get Eating Disorders Too is an award-winning national charity which is run by and for men with eating disorders including their carers and families. Their website provides essential information that is specific to the unique needs of men and an online space for those affected to get their voices heard (e.g. peer support via our face to face groups and online). MGEDT also campaign in the media, organise awareness-raising events and provide training for professionals.
